An Excel formula exercise from Formuladrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Find each employee's tax rate from the bracket table in E:F (each row starts at the income in column E). Fill C2 and C3.
What this exercise teaches
Approximate match is the right tool for brackets, tiers and grading scales.
A hint if you get stuck
With TRUE as the last argument VLOOKUP finds the last row whose start is not above the income. The table must be sorted.
