An average with the wrong count
An Excel formula exercise from Formuladrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
The average order value in B9 is too high. Find out why and fix it.
What this exercise teaches
Dividing by a typed count breaks as soon as a row is added or removed. AVERAGE, or SUM divided by the COUNT in B8, always uses the real number of orders.
A hint if you get stuck
Count the orders yourself and compare it with the number the formula divides by.
