The lookup without FALSE
An Excel formula exercise from Formuladrill. Solve it with a formula bar on a live sheet in your browser, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Each order should be charged the price of its code from the table in E1:F5. One order shows the wrong price even though its code is in the table. Find the lookup that differs from the others and fix it.
What this exercise teaches
Without FALSE, VLOOKUP does an approximate match and assumes the table is sorted. On an unsorted code list it silently returns a neighbor's price. Always write FALSE (or 0) for an exact match.
A hint if you get stuck
Compare the three VLOOKUPs argument by argument. One of them is missing its fourth argument.
