The task
From Priya in Finance: "The amounts came out of our billing system as text, so the total in B7 says 0. Give me real numbers in C2:C6 and the correct total in C7."
What this exercise teaches
SUM skips text without any warning, which is why the old total showed 0. Convert first, then add up.
A hint if you get stuck
VALUE turns text that looks like a number, such as "$1,250.00", into a real number. Then add up the new column.
